Time for a layout share....

It seems to have been so long since i posted layouts on my blog....here are a few from the past month or so....some are classes i have taught, some challenges for the Embellished Site. I have been creating, mostly for upcoming classes but also another project i am working on.
So no photos this post, just some creativeness!!








Well i am sure i have fogotten quite a few...but will try and play catch up soon....

This week has been one of those weeks, but i have heard a few people who have had the same...maybe it is that time of the year/month/week??? Anyways, My week this week is going to be a whole lot better....

We have some cool product arriving this week and i cannot wait to get my hands on it!!!

The HOME FRONT
Some of you would know, Glenn and I moved up here in March 2006, for a bit of a seachange and lifestyle change....wanting to bring Luke up in a more country environment. We bought a beautiful old Queenslander with loads of potential...'renovators dream'. We have been very slowly getting things done as we have time and money.
Those of you on Facebook will have seen these photos already, but in the past month I have painted our bedroom and started to get it done as i have wished....I still have the wardrobe to make over and update and still find a few nice pieces of furniture and dress the windows....but here is the new bedroom.

I have wanted a new dining room setting for a long time...but money is not always just there to go and buy.One of Glenn's workmates has moved to Brisbane and couldn't take all her furniture with her.....we have been lucky enough to get her dining room setting (Glenn has offered to build her hubby's website in trade ) Well we picked it up yesterday and it is so cool!! Very me as far as style goes and now my dining room has a setting that fits well and means i can entertain more.....YAY!!

Our front room which is where the french doors are leading from the Dining Room, is one of those rooms that was the verandah....we would love to open it up, but we need the room. It is the spare 'kids' loungeroom and guest room for when family come up and stay!
I am working on a colour scheme....and this will be my next project over the coming weeks and months...

We have chosen a rusty orange colour for the walls and we have a chocolate brown lounge in there, so i am going to make some cushions with this gorgeous Amy Butler Fabric and accent with the green and blue....Will be so nice to have another room completed soon....then we will only have the kitchen, bathroom and sleepout to go and we have done the inside.
Well I have another photoshoot this afternoon with some of my friends from the shoppe....This is a shoot of about 7, so this should be fun! Cannot wait to see how they turn out!
Here are some photos of Lukey from a quick shoot outside this morning. He has had a haircut----which is really hard to get him to have----he normally screams and it doesn't get done properly, but on Friday he was a very good boy and had his hair cut, and it looks great---he looks so grown up...I cannot believe he goes to school next year....

 

 

 

 

Also did a photoshoot for some girls who i teach at the shoppe, this was great fun!!

Weekend Photoshoots and some layouts to share.

Yesterday I shot one of my customers and her daughter and partner from Canada. These guys were great to shoot and Miss Kate, you are a blast!!

 I also shot a 2nd Birthday party this morning up at the gardens, but they have not yet been edited...

Should find out this week if the big change to Embellished will happen....this is very exciting, but at the same time i am not counting my chickens before they hatch....but it will be a whole new start for Embellished in the coming months....Will keep you all posted!

Well my life is fairly boring, other than my boys...

AWESOME FUN PHOTOSHOOT!!!

Yesterday I shot some pics of two of my friends- Dee & Kirsty. Now these girls I LOVE to photograph! They work out their own themes and props and location and basicall i show up and take the photos! I was extremely happy with how the pics turned out, really worked my new 5D hard! The only thing i was off with was my white balance, but all the other settings were perfect when i shot them.

Dee is only home for another week before heading back to the U.S...It will be March before she is back again, but the girls have already chosen the next scenery etc for that!

A LOOONG WEEKEND!!

Well what a week it has been. We launched the new Embellished site just one week ago today and the response has been wonderful. We are really happy with the result so far. Glenn still has a few more things planned for the site to come in time.

Yesterday---- MAJOR CLEAN UP--- We have a back room at the shoppe that has been growlingly getting messier and messier....Unfortunately it wasn't rating on the priority lists the past few months, so has been put on the back burner for a while. We (Glenn, Helen, Germa and myself) all got stuck into it yesterday and took 2 trailer loads of stuff to the dump. It looks so good now and we now have a storage room and a kids playroom!!!

CROPS---- Yesterday we held our midday-midnight crop at the shoppe, we also ran our first *NEW* Site Cyber Crop last night. Needless to say I was pretty busy doing both....we had a great turn up for both crops and a great night was had.

TODAY & TRAINS---- Luke had been such a good boy yesterday while we were at the shoppe cleaning up...i promised him i would take him to the little trains that are on once a month.So we headed down there and saw a few familiar faces....one in particular was Luke's special Friend 'Logan'...so they rode the trains together a few times and had fun.
